Suggest a Property
Have a heritage or historic property you think belongs in the collection? Suggestions from owners, guests, local historians and preservation groups are all welcome.
What we look for
- Genuinely historic — typically built before 1920, though well-preserved interwar examples are also considered.
- Currently operating as guest accommodation (short stay, homestay, boutique hotel, B&B, farmstay).
- A clear connection to the building's history — restoration in keeping with the period, original features retained, or a story worth telling.
- Located somewhere in Australia.
What we don't list
- Newly built properties styled to look old. Heritage means the building actually is.
- Properties without genuine short-stay availability — purely private residences or museums.
- Reproductions, replicas, or theme-park-style historical accommodation.
How to submit
Send a short note via the contact page with the property name, location, approximate era, a link to the operator's own website or booking listing, and a sentence or two about what makes it interesting.
All submissions are reviewed manually. There's no submission fee and no paid placement — the collection stays editorially independent.
